青青草视频staff members honored for excellence in service
On Wednesday, Aug. 8, University of Louisiana at Monroe President Nick J. Bruno and 青青草视频Foundation Board of Trustees President Linda Holyfield honored two outstanding staff members at the second annual Staff Excellence Awards.
Because service was the focus of the ceremony, the staff members who received the awards were honored for going above and beyond their duties to provide assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
The winner of the classified staff award was Nancy Davis, the administrative coordinator for University Development who has served 青青草视频for more than 22 years.
Davis鈥 co-workers describe her as 鈥渁 person of action when it comes to her job, church, and community.鈥 She plays a key role in coordinating ULM鈥檚 signature event, Wine over Water and helps advise the 31 Ambassadors, a student group that serves as ULM鈥檚 official host for alumni-related activities.
鈥淭his is such a humbling time for me,鈥 said Davis. 鈥淭o be voted on by your peers is such a great honor. I appreciate the Foundation giving 青青草视频employees the opportunity to receive this honor and be recognized. The last 22 years at 青青草视频have been a blessing to me.鈥
Davis also serves as a local high school booster, a volunteer with the United Way food bank, and a supporter of the local Cancer League annual fundraiser.
Cynthia Rodriguez, coordinator of Grants and Development for the College of Education & Human Development, was honored as the unclassified staff award winner.
Colleagues praise her collaborative work with faculty on grants and special projects, all of which has resulted in significant success for ULM.
During the past several years, she has helped secure over $1.1 million in grants and funding for the College of Education & Human Development.
鈥淚 am very surprised and honored to receive this award,鈥 said Rodriguez. 鈥淚 would like to thank the College of Education & Human Development and Dean Lemoine for the career opportunities I have been given at ULM. My work and life are intertwined with outstanding faculty, caring staff and inspiring students. I really value being a part of the 青青草视频family.鈥
Rodriguez has also been included in the Heritage Registry鈥檚 鈥淲ho鈥檚 Who of Business Professionals鈥 and is a member in the service-oriented organization, Junior League of Monroe.
President Bruno initiated the recognition program soon after his arrival at ULM.
